Ribera urges to reform the electricity market no later than the beginning of 2024

The Spanish Minister for the Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, urged on Monday, before the start of the informal council of ministers of the European Union (EU) in Stockholm, that the reform of the electricity market be closed at the beginning of 2024 at the latest.

“I think it would be good if this reform were completed before the elections to the next European Parliament in May 2024. You cannot leave such an important issue, as relevant to investors as the reform of the electricity market open for so long. That generates uncertainty,” Ribera told EFE.
