President of the Emirates oil company to preside over COP28

The United Arab Emirates appoints the head of the state oil company as president of the COP28 Climate Summit, scheduled in Dubai in November.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) appointed on Thursday (12.01.2023) the Emirati Minister of Industry and Technology and chief executive of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Sultan al Jaber, as the president of the COP28 Climate Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Dubai at the end of next November, official media reported.
