A Barclays report warns that investors do not take into account the damage that natural heritage is suffering
Green-labelled sovereign bonds have been all the rage in recent years. These are public debt issues that are linked to the financing of projects that fight climate change. Last year, more than 700,000 million euros were raised worldwide with bonds of this type. However, the price at which this asset is quoted might not be adequate. According to a Barclays report, investors would be underestimating the risk of damage to nature caused by climate change and human action. This could lead to a sharp devaluation of this debt.
