At a time when decarbonization has become a priority for businesses and governments, many promises are emerging, but very few tangible, immediate, and scalable solutions. Hydrus SMART, presented in Spain by Girowatt Grup 360° and already in operation and tested on customers in Ireland, represents one of these exceptions.

Our uniquely developed MOF (Metal Organic Framework) technology allows CH4 and CO₂, or CO₂ alone, to be captured with unprecedented efficiency and minimal energy consumption. Unlike traditional systems such as membranes, PSAs or scrubbers, Hydrus SMART requires no chemicals, generates no waste and virtually eliminates OPEX (operating expenses or operating expenses). The material itself is regenerated, without wear or maintenance, guaranteeing 24/7 continuity. Its modular “plug & play” design occupies just a 20-foot container and can adapt to any flow and flow.

This not only allows companies to verifiably reduce their carbon footprint, but also to turn a liability into an asset: the recovered CO₂ finds an outlet in multiple industrial sectors – food, agriculture, chemicals, healthcare or pharma – where the scarcity of this critical resource is cyclical and growing.

The economic impact is immediate. Depending on the flow and conditions, the payback of the investment can be reached in less than seven months, something unprecedented in the sector. In addition, the added value of the gases obtained is differential: CH4 is delivered at 95% purity, ready to be injected into the network, and CO₂ at a guaranteed minimum of 99.5% (adjustable according to customer needs).
