France seals a European nuclear alliance with Spain against and as a global exception

The French energy minister has led a pact in favor of nuclear energy in Stockholm together with 10 European counterparts.

The energy crisis and the war in Ukraine have reinforced the commitment of France and many other nations to nuclear energy. Thus, in 2022, Emmanuel Macron promised the construction of up to 14 new nuclear reactors in the next 20 years, despite his previous plans to progressively reduce the weight of this energy source.
