Europe warns of the energy impact of artificial intelligence

The third edition of the Forbes Artificial Intelligence Summit brought together institutional representatives and large companies in Madrid to analyse how artificial intelligence is transforming the European economy, employment and technological sovereignty. As reported by Forbes Spain, one of the main challenges is no longer only technological, but also energy, regulatory and human. Artificial intelligence has established itself as one of the great axes of economic and geopolitical transformation on a global scale. This was reflected during the third edition of the Forbes Artificial Intelligence Summit, held in Madrid, where experts, institutions and companies analysed the growing impact of these technologies on employment, infrastructure, energy and European competitiveness. As explained by Forbes Spain during the meeting, the expansion of AI is forcing Europe to accelerate strategic decisions linked to technological sovereignty, the development of its own infrastructures and the reduction of dependence on the United States and China in areas such as data, computing or artificial intelligence models.
