The Government estimates the additional investment needed to decarbonise industry at 9,500 million

The Executive will promote plans with the subsectors of Catalan industry to decarbonise them before 2050.

The Government estimates that Catalan industry needs an additional effort of 9,500 million euros to the investments already planned until 2050 to achieve decarbonisation and that, of these, some 4,900 million should come from public administrations. This is one of the conclusions of the Roadmap for the energy transition and decarbonisation on the 2050 horizon, presented by the Catalan Institute of Energy (Icaen) this Friday and which analyses the current energy consumption of the sector.
