CO2 emissions in the _{energy sector will rise by 4% until 2035}

OPEC specialists warn that the projections are insufficient to meet the Paris Agreement that seeks to combat climate change.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) forecasts that CO₂ emissions generated by the global energy sector will continue to rise until 2035, when they would reach a peak of 35.7 billion tons, 4.08% higher than estimated in 2022.
