Brussels urges Spain and 22 other countries with delays to send energy and climate plans

The European Commission today urged EU countries that have not submitted their integrated national energy and climate plans on time – all except the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and Sweden – to comply with that legal obligation as soon as possible.

“Yesterday, we only received four plans, from the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. The Commission obviously strongly urges the rest of the member states to send their plans as soon as possible,” the EU executive’s climate spokesman, Tim McPhie, said at a press conference today.
