Brussels aligns with the requests of the electricity companies in its proposal for market reform

The working document leaves out the Spanish proposal for a fixed price for nuclear and hydroelectric already existing, which according to the electricity companies would be “poison” and an “expropriation” that would cause a flight of investments to the US.

“Reform? What reform? Calling it an update would already be generous.” This is ironic about an executive of the electricity sector, critical of the functioning of this market, asked about the proposal of the European Commission to reform the electricity market that has circulated in recent days.
