Amphos 21 and RSK Environmental: a future together towards Green Hydrogen, Digital Water and other environmental innovations. Jordi Bruno, April 2021

At the end of last year 2020, Amphos 21 Group joined the environmental consulting and engineering group RSK Environmental. This meant the culmination of a process of growth and diversification that we had started since 2007, when we acquired the company then called Enviros Spain in a management buy out process.

The integration to RSK Environmental allows us to continue growing in our traditional markets (water, nuclear waste and mining) and at the same time share capabilities with other RSK group companies with a long tradition in the markets of climate change, renewable energy, remediation of contaminated soils, sustainability and environmental permitting.

RSK Environmental is a group of 60 companies made up of more than 5000 specialists in environment and sustainability. It is of British origin, but has a very global implantation, in Europe and Latin America, and especially in Africa and Asia in the countries of the Commonwealth. RSK is currently the world’s largest private environmental engineering and consulting group.

Among the most important developments that we are carrying out at the group level are the Green Hydrogen, in which the experience of Amphos 21 in the underground storage of gases is flow; and the of Digital Water, where we incorporate our capabilities in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to other capabilities of companies in the water sector of the group, such as Binnies.

In this line, it should be noted that Amphos 21 has recently been the winner of the SmartCatalonia Challenge innovation contest on the use of Machine Learning for the detection of the presence of contaminants in water.

We are fully convinced that this integration is the way to ensure the continuity of a project that we started 27 years ago, and that at the same time will give us a very reinforced presence in the environmental market at a global level.
