A UPM study reveals the geostrategic importance of electric vehicle metals

A study carried out by a team of researchers from the ETSI of Mines and Energy of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) has analysed critical raw materials, supply risks and greenhouse gas emissions to understand the geostrategic importance in the manufacture of electric vehicles. The study notes that greenhouse gas emissions could be reduced if EV batteries were manufactured in Europe instead of imported.
