Spanish Circular Economy Strategy. Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

The current economic system is based on a growth model that is based on the production of goods and services under the guidelines of “use-consume-throw away”. This “linear” model entails an intensive use of natural resources and entails aggravated impacts on resources and ecosystems. In addition, the impacts of the linear model are aggravated by consumption habits increasingly associated with “fast fashion”, with renewal rates of goods that do not exhaust the useful life cycle of the product.
