II Circular Economy Action Plan (PAEC)

The Council of Ministers has approved the II Circular Economy Action Plan (PAEC) launched by the General State Administration (AGE) to accelerate the deployment of a circular and decarbonised economic model.
The 105 measures of the Plan, which involves 12 ministries and more than 40 management units, seek to achieve the objectives established in the Spanish Circular Economy Strategy for 2030 and are the result of the integration of initiatives proposed by the Circular Economy Advisory Council (CAEC) – a public-private collaboration instrument that brings together ministries, sectoral associations, trade unions, NGOs, consumer organisations and academia – as well as the contributions received during the public participation process. The actions proposed by the AGE are structured in accordance with the strategic axes and lines defined in the Spanish Circular Economy Strategy, and which were already applied in the I Action Plan. In this sense, the measures are articulated around five lines of action and three transversal lines.
