In 2024, Europe again experienced the devastating effects of climate change, with record temperatures and extreme weather events highlighting the urgent need to act against climate change. Unless strong mitigation and adaptation measures are taken, climate change is projected to lead to an increase in temperature-related deaths in Europe, especially in the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe.
