The global battery market is advancing rapidly as demand increases and prices continue to fall. In 2024, with the 25% increase in electric car sales, the annual demand for batteries exceeded Tera watt-hour (TWh). At the same time, the average price of a battery pack for an electric car fell below $100 per kilowatt-hour, a key price to compete on cost with conventional models.
