State of the Climate 2024.

The World Meteorological Organization’s latest report on the state of the climate confirmed that 2024 was probably the first year to exceed the pre-industrial era by more than 1.5°C. In the oceans, the rate of sea level rise has doubled since satellite measurements began. According to the report, long-term global warming is currently estimated to be between 1.34 and 1.41 °C compared to baseline.
