European Commission presents an action plan to ensure access to affordable energy

The European Commission has presented the Affordable Energy Action Plan with short-term measures to reduce energy costs, complete the Energy Union, attract investment and be better prepared for potential energy crises. This plan is a key component of the Clean Industrial Pact, and will not only offer relief to households facing high energy bills, but also to industries struggling with high production costs, with overall savings estimated to reach €130 billion in annual savings in 2030 and €260 billion in 2040.
