The Ministry of Industry approves 15 new projects of line 1 of the decarbonisation PERTE worth €80 million

The Ministry of Industry and Tourism has today approved 15 new provisional resolutions for line 1 of the PERTE for industrial decarbonisation for a total of 80 million euros, which will mean a reduction of more than 219,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

Among the projects approved are those of the ERCROS plant in Tarragona (14 million euros), the MERCEDES-BENZ plant in Vitoria (with 13 million euros), the INTERMALTA plant in Albacete (almost 11 million) and the IBERDROLA CLIENTES plant in Asturias (with 8.6 million).

Adding those announced today, Industry has already granted aid – including grants and loans – worth more than 450 million euros to 75 projects of the decarbonisation PERTE between final and provisional resolutions.

Line 1 of aid from this PERTE – endowed with 1,000 million euros – is intended for comprehensive action for decarbonisation, supporting the actions carried out by national industries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
