Since 1993, the IEA has provided energy projections with modelling tools. The GEC Model brings together the capabilities of the Global Energy Model and the Energy Technology Prospects. The result is a large-scale, bottom-up partial optimization modeling framework that enables a unique set of analytical capabilities across energy markets, technology trends, policy strategies, and investments across the energy sector.
