The future of European competitiveness. Part A: A competitiveness strategy for Europe.

This report identifies three main areas of action to achieve sustainable growth.
First, it argues that the EU must refocus its collective efforts to close the innovation gap with the United States and China, especially in advanced technologies.
Second, the EU institutions must agree on a joint plan for decarbonisation and competitiveness.
A third area of action requires increasing security and reducing dependencies.
