Hereu announces the publication of the call for aid to offset_CO2 endowed with 300 million euros

The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, has announced that the Official State Gazette (BOE) publishes the call for the compensation mechanism for the costs of indirect greenhouse gas emissions, with a budget of 300 million euros.

This aid programme is aimed at companies in certain industrial sectors and sub-sectors that are considered to be exposed to a significant risk of “carbon leakage”. The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 working days in what is the call with the largest endowment in history.
