Greenhouse gas emissions are on the horizon

At the United Nations’ International Maritime Organization (IMO) meeting in London in March, most member states expressed support for a cap on greenhouse gases emitted by the global shipping industry.

This tariff – along with a fuel standard that requires ships to increase their share of green energy over time – could improve the global business base for zero-carbon technology. But first, he must safely navigate through some difficult political waters at the UN agency.
