IRENA has extensive experience in monitoring the progress of the global energy transition and on the 1.5°C scenario, it continues to monitor the 2030 target. The Global Energy Transitions Outlook shows that the goal of tripling is achievable. However, individual countries face different starting points and national circumstances, resulting in different contributions.
