Pressure eased in 2023 on the market for minerals used in electric vehicles, wind turbines, solar panels, and other clean energy technologies, as supply outpaced growing demand. But the IEA warns that significant additional investments are still needed to meet global energy and climate goals.

The “Global Critical Minerals Outlook 2024” report, released on Friday last week, updates the IEA’s inaugural market review last year.
