In 58 of the 100 companies reviewed, their emissions were higher in the seven years after the Paris Agreement than in the same period before. In the Middle East, this number is 70%, in Europe 57%, in South America 60%, in Australia 75%, and 50% in African companies. North America is the only region where a minority of companies, 16 out of 37 (43%), were linked to increased emissions.
