In November, the EU reached an agreement on a European law on critical raw materials, as demand for rare earths is expected to increase in the coming years. Critical raw materials are of great importance, with a high risk of supply disruption and a lack of good, affordable substitutes. The law aims to: increase and diversify the supply of critical raw materials, strengthen circularity, and support research and innovation.
