Total independence from Russian energy, 10% of raw materials ‘Made in Europe’ and the first major green hydrogen corridor are some of the goals for the end of the decade

The future of the European Union passes, first, through the 55th goal, one of the great promises that Ursula von der Leyen made in 2019 to win the support of MEPs in the investiture vote was to present an unprecedented climate package during the first 100 days of her mandate. Shortly after consolidating the support of the chamber – by a minimum of nine votes – the Green Deal was presented, which was presented in Brussels as an “event similar for Europe to the arrival of man on the moon”. Its ultimate goal is to make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. A goal that only Poland opposed at the 2019 summit.
