G20 climate ministerial meeting ends without agreements

The meeting of environment ministers of the G20 countries in India ended on Friday without an agreement to limit greenhouse gas emissions from 2025 in the face of the global climate crisis.

Delegates from the world’s 20 largest economies closed the meeting without a breakthrough ahead of the next UN climate conference, COP 28 in Dubai at the end of the year, and the talks also failed to increase the use of renewable energy.
