Ways to change consumption in Europe are explored. An EU policy target on consumption calls for a significant reduction of the consumption footprint so that consumption-related impacts are within the limits of the planet, requiring deeper changes in consumption. Efficiency gains and economic decoupling pressures on growth are not enough to alleviate the current climate change crises.
