Communiqué of the G7 Climate, Energy and Environment Ministers

The G7 countries set themselves the goal of reducing CO₂ emissions from all their vehicles by at least 50% by 2035, from 2000 levels in the joint declaration adopted at the end of their two-day meeting in Sapporo, northern Japan, which focused on accelerating efforts to combat climate change. Specifically, they point to the “collective opportunity to reduce emissions from the G7 vehicle fleet by at least 50% by 2035.
