Heating and cooling account for half of the EU’s energy end-use. As solutions to save energy and introduce energy efficient exist and need to be implemented quickly, this brief looks at heating and cooling trends across the EU, highlighting the joint benefits of combining energy saving and efficiency measures with switching to the use of renewables and waste energy in heating.
