The Government raises by 400 million the budget of the Moves III Plan for sustainable mobility

The Government will increase the budget of the Moves III program to promote sustainable mobility with an additional 400 million euros, after having received more than 90,000 applications and that up to 15 autonomous communities have requested its extension.

This decision, announced on Wednesday by the third vice president and minister for the Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, at the Energy Sector Conference, will increase the total allocation of Moves III to 1,200 million.

Likewise, 500 million will be allocated to promote self-consumption facilities, as set out in the More Energy Security Plan (Plan +SE) approved a few weeks ago.

The management costs of the files that can be justified by the autonomous communities will also be increased to 5% both in the Moves III and in the incentive program for self-consumption, energy storage and thermal installations with renewables.

Finally, Ribera has confirmed that the deadlines set by the regulations for processing renewable projects will be maintained, with the aim of avoiding the blocking of the capacity to access the electricity grid and guarantee the legal certainty of the promoters.

Currently, renewable projects have a period of five years to execute from the moment they obtain the right of access to the electricity grid, with several intermediate milestones that must be met, including obtaining the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), which many projects must have before January 25.
