Global Climate Litigation Report: 2020 Status Review

The report by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) concludes that climate cases have almost doubled in the last three years and are increasingly forcing governments and business actors to meet their climate commitments.

The report, published in cooperation with Columbia University’s Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, shows that while climate litigation continues to be concentrated in high-income countries, the trend is expected to continue to grow globally.
