Economic losses and deaths from weather- and climate-related events in Europe

The EU adaptation strategy aims to ensure that Europe is well prepared to adapt to the impacts of climate change. All regions of Europe face economic losses and weather extremes every year. To support policy processes on adaptation to climate change, data on these losses should be collected across EEA member countries in a consistent manner.
