Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on the internal markets for natural gas and renewable gases and for hydrogen (recast version)

Member States have agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030. To achieve these objectives and, at the same time, contribute to competitiveness, growth and employment, the energy system needs a change: the use of fossil fuels must be reduced and renewable sources increased, designing an ambitious transition towards low-carbon gases and renewable gases.
