Germany Cuts COâ‚‚ Emissions to Lowest Level in 70 Years by Destroying Demand

To achieve a lasting reduction in emissions, the German government must fill the gaps in its climate policies in the transport and construction sectors, according to Agora Energiewende

Last year, Germany’s greenhouse gas emissions fell to 673 million tonnes of COâ‚‚. Emissions thus fell by 46% compared to the base year 1990, their lowest level since the 1950s.
